Lionel Messi has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Miami in July and not begun to think about his future beyond that deal.

 The visitors will play three ODIs and as many T20Is at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium in November, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

The ODI series will be held from November 4 to 9, as part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25. The T20I series will take place from November 12 to 16.

They will start training on Monday.After successful tours by the men’s cricket teams of Australia, West Indies, and England earlier this year, Ireland will be the fifth international team to visit Pakistan in 2022.

According to Indian media reports, Rohit Shetty, director of several Bollywood Blockbuster hits like the Golmaal seires, the Singham series, Chennai Express and many others, has now expressed interest in making a biopic on the tennis star that all Pakistanis have grown to love.

In a recent interview on Indian film director Karan Johar’s talk show "Koffee with Karan", the director revealed his eagerness to see the life story of tennis star Sania Mirza on a big screen and further elaborated that he is touched by Mirza’s continuous efforts to represent India despite having a Pakistani husband.

It was earlier reported that an “important” member from Pakistan’s squad on the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka was approached by international fixing syndicate.

The member in query turned out to be skipper Sarfraz.

He was shopping with family in Dubai when the spot-fixing offer was made to him by a bookie,who seems to be a Pakistani, ahead of the 2nd ODI match against Sri Lanka.

Sarfraz straightway rejected the offer and reported the incident to Director Security Colonel Azam and other security officials.

Following the incident, board has tightened security measures, restored curfew timings for players and given strict instructions to stay away from irrelevant people.

There were reports of bookies approaching players prior to the Pak-Sri Lanka series.

Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in the last ODI on October 23 in Sharjah.

The former world number one, wearing an orange top and lilac-coloured skirt, looked nervous as she walked out to warm applause for her first match since testing positive for meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open.

She was given a wildcard to play at the Stuttgart tournament which she has won three times.

Her initial two-year suspension was cut to 15 months but the 30-year-old is now without a world ranking and requires wildcards from tournaments.

Her return in Stuttgart has divided opinion just as she has done ever since she burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old Wimbledon winner in 2004.

Stuttgart is the first event to hand her a wildcard, which was not surprising as the tournament is sponsored by Porsche, one of the Russian´s many high-profile personal sponsors.Forthcoming tournaments in Madrid and Rome have followed suit.

With the likes of Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Petra Kvitova sidelined -- and potential heir Eugenie Bouchard struggling -- women´s tennis needs pulling power and Sharapova ticks all the boxes.

Vinci, the world number 36 who has taken just four games off Sharapova in two defeats, was echoing the opinions of Andy Murray, Agnieszka Radwanska and Caroline Wozniacki in demanding the Russian work her way back into the game.
